Baseball’s Bum Rap
Who else is sick of the double standard?
Baseball gets a bum rap on steroids, but it’s because they are actually catching the cheaters. Same thing happens with cycling.
It’s because people actually care about baseball. People care about the integrity of the Hall of Fame, and care about the sport. Same with cycling in Europe.
Nobody actually cares about football, or hockey, or basketball, so we all just ignore the blatantly obvious signs of PED use in those sports. The leagues are not seriously going after the cheaters and the stories get swept under the rug.
Do an internet search of “nba steroids” or “nhl steroids”, etc, and you will find stories from players like Derek Rose and Georges Laraque, who are trying to tell everyone there are PED problems in their leagues. The NFL has had multiple admitted steroid users and multiple players outed by the BALCO scandal.
PEDs are a major part of all sports right now, but it’s only baseball and cycling that are doing something to change that.

I am sick and tired of the NFL. period. That league is the biggest joke in history. I bet 80-90% of players are on HGH/steroids. You’re absolutely correct about people loving baseball. Football/Basketball are popular because the sports are either fast/violent. I urge you to boycott the NFL. I didn’t watch a single regular season game for (the 9-10 year) or Super Bowl. The precious NFL will fail to exist after all the players sue the league for concussion syndrome.
Guys (and Gals) in all sports are always trying to get that advantage and doing Steroids seems like the fastest and easiest way to get there. But its still all over baseball, mainly because the testing seemed too weak, but enough for people to believe MLB is now “clean”. COME ON!!! You saw a few guys shrivel up before your eyes (think ivan rodriguez, grady sizemore, nomar, jeter, etc.). Not only their bodies, but their stats shriveled to minor league cusp type players. Also to think that NFL has 80-90% on some roid, but think not baseball!?!?! When entire all-star teams are linked to steroid use!?!?! (pull up the 2001 allstar starting lineups for both NL and AL.
